Visy Gibson Island Boiler Installation

With the $48M upgrade of Visy’s Paper Recycling Facility at Gibson Island Brisbane, Aerial View Photography was contracted to capture the construction and installation of various new facilities and equipment. One of these being the installation of a new multi-fuel Boiler which supplies steam for the drying process in the recycling paper mill. Our brief was to capture the day’s events of transporting the boiler from the front gate, through the facility, into the mill and lifted to its final position on an elevated platform. This involved a slow and strategic process of transporting the boiler past trees, under conveyors, down narrow ramps with the use of cranes. In conjunction with All In Creative, filming a combination of real-time ground video and time-lapse, our cameras captured the thought process, precision and skill of all involved to achieve their desired outcome.
