Coal Creek Pedestrian Bridge Time-Lapse

Project Description

Queensland’s 161km Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT) is the longest, and one of the busiest, rail trails in Australia and is being positioned as a world-class tourism asset. The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is undertaking to refurbish several disused bridges, along the BVRT providing safe passage for trail uses. Aerial View Photography was engaged by RoadTek South to capture the construction works for the refurbishment of the Coal Creek Pedestrian Bridge near Esk. This was done by placing two time-lapse cameras in strategic locations on site. The online photo gallery, displaying photos taken by the time-lapse cameras at regular intervals, provided valuable data to off-site project managers liaising with site personnel. This ensured timely construction progress, easy resolution of onsite issues and enhanced reporting across key stakeholders.
